God's Everlasting Wisdom - for an ever-changing world
A series from the book of Proverbs
Our world seems to be constantly changing - technology has speeded up communication and the spreading of opinions, people seem to be at liberty to live according to their individualistic preferences, and it's difficult to find a moral compass in society that doesn't change its mind on what is right and wrong!
As opposed to the ongoing fluctuation around us, we can look to a God who is eternal and solid - He has all knowledge, wisdom and power. Proverbs 3:19 says: "By wisdom the Lord laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place." God created the world and set it up to work in His way, no matter what age we live in.
In this series, the book of Proverbs will help us seek God's wisdom on a number of current issues for our day. Only by looking to God can we make sense of life and live fruitfully for Him. Being a Christian in the 21st Century is a bumpy ride - in the UK we are no longer living in a society whose values are predominantly aligned with God's. But He has promised that His Spirit will guide us into all truth, and Jesus enables us to mix that truth with grace, as we live faithfully for Him in this place at this time.
